EZTV T-shirt ad, 1985

Mark Shepard & Patricia Miller

EZTV founding members Mark Shepard and Patricia Miller produced a number of short interstitial clips that would play during an evening of EZTV screenings, either before or in-between the curated programming.

These entertaining, often tongue-in-cheek, works punctuated the formal presentations and were largely responsible for the unique viewing experience an evening at EZTV offered. Audiences appreciated the trailers, short featurettes, mock advertisements, and public service announcements that Shepard and Miller added to the programming. In many ways, they were as much a part of the show as was the curated work.

This comedic clip was to advertise the EZTV T-Shirts that were available for sale at the gallery's front desk. The shirts sold well and were worn by movie and rock stars, underground writers, professors, and others around Los Angeles. They also became the unofficial uniform for the EZTV staff.

These t-shirts are now rare and are considered collector's items.
