An Astral Tea Party, 1987

“An Astral Tea Party”, loosely inspired by Alice in Wonderland, was part performance art and part science lecture/presentation, featuring EZTV founding member and KPFK radio host Strawn Bovee, and guest scientists.

This artwork includes digital animations by Rebecca Allen, including her music video for Kraftwerk, and scientific imagery from JPL and other institutions. Accompanying wall art from the seminal group on digital art show "Computer Superstars”.

Both an “Astral Tea Party” and “Computer Superstars” were included in EZTV's participation in Fringe Festival/Los Angeles '87, a region-wide festival produced in association with the Los Angeles Festival.
