2024 marked the 45th anniversary of the founding of EZTV, as well as the 40th anniversary of working with LA ACM SIGGRAPH and artists and producers Joan Collins, Robert Gelman, Victor Acevedo, Dave Curlender and so many others. In celebration of these milestones, Walter Meyer, then the chair of art at Santa Monica College (SMC), and former Santa Monica Arts Commissioner, proposed a month-long exhibition at SMC’s Barrett Gallery. Through the efforts of gallerist Robert Berman, Writers Boot Camp director Jeff Gordon, and members of the Santa Monica Arts Commission’s Media Arts Subcommittee, this evolved into a year-long series of exhibitions, live performances and panel discussions. Several of these events were also included in the Getty’s concurrent region-wide initiative “PST” on art & science, which staged over 70 events at virtually every major museum, university and art gallery.

• The DNA Festivals’s year of events, with a focus on the Barrett Gallery show, is chronicled in this book published by SMC:
• Several events served as “soft openings” to DNA, including this talk by curator Deepa Supramanian and Michael J. Masucci at Bergamot Station Arts Center’s bG Gallery
• One such PST-included DNA panel, with an international group of experts, was included in Art and America Magazine as among “the best of PST.”
